FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the cost to register?

$240 per player for residents of the City of Boca Raton.

Non-residents must pay an additional $65 fee required by the City (we just collect this fee and pass it along).

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any refunds.

When can I register?

Registration for residents of the City of Boca Raton opens on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Non-residents can register beginning Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Player registration ends Sunday, May 25, 2025.

What are the different age divisions?

Girls 7U (instructional), 10U, 12U, 15U and 16-18U*

Boys 7U (instructional), 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U and 16-18U*

*Yes you should register for 16-18U now. We fully expect to have a fall season for high schoolers. In the unlikely event we cannot secure court time, we will issue a refund.

Which division will my child play in?

We use the same September 1 age cut-off date as the Palm Beach County School District. That means your child must be the required age on September 1. For example, to play in 13U your child must be either 12 or 13 years old on September. Athletes may request to play up in an older division (but not down). To complete registration, you must upload proof of age, such as a birth certificate or passport.

When are games?

Approximately 10 regular season games (indoors) plus playoffs (indoors). Expect about half the games to be played on Saturdays and half during the week. Games will be held at Sugar Sand Park and a variety of local schools.

When are practices?

One weekly practice (outdoors). Coaches will select practice dates based on their personal schedules and court availability. In addition, we will host optional player development clinics throughout the season.

How do I get a uniform?

Online registration will include fields for both jersey size and shorts size.  Coaches will distribute uniforms at  practice.

Can I volunteer to coach?

We hope you will!  It's an amazing way to make a positive and lasting impact on our children (including your own) and our community.  Even if you've never coached before, we are here to support you with training, skills/drills and coaching clinics.

Do I have to attend evaluations?

Yes.  We want the teams to be fair.  In addition to evaluations, we have several questions in the registration forms about your child's basketball skills and experience.  Using that information, combined with our evaluation process, we will make every effort to create parity within each division. .

Can I pick my teammates and/or coaches?  What if I'm volunteering to coach?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accomodate friend or coach requests.  However, if you are volunteering to coach, you can request a co-coach.  We want you to enjoy coaching, and will do our best to accomodate requests (provided coaching together doesn't make the teams unfair). There is a field in the coach registration form for you till fill in your requested co-coach. Email us if you have questions.

What kind of organization is the Boca Raton Basketball Club ("BRBC")?

Our legal entity, Boca Ballers Basketball Club, Inc., is a newly registered Florida not-for-profit doing business as the Boca Raton Basketball Club.  Everyone is a volunteer: the coaches, division reps, administrators, board of directors, etc.

Girls 10U and Boys 9U use a women's ball and 9' rim.

Girls 12U and 15U and Boys 11U use a women's ball and 10' rim.
